Paintings: Land Abstractions
My work deals with the impermanence and destruction of the natural environment. These fractured landscapes depict aerial views of a ravaged land void of plant and animal life. These paintings are a semblance of pieces from several paintings merged into one image, thereby making the originals obsolete. The everchanging ecosystems are greatly influenced by overpopulation and greed within every society. In order to preserve and protect the earth and its inhabitants, we must maintain that which remains of our natural resources.
